RARE NETWORK
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 28, 2026
Rare Network is a faith-centered community platform. This policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use Rare Network.
Information we collect
We may collect account and profile information such as your name, email address, profile details, authentication information, preferences, and account status. If you choose to participate in the community, we may also process content you submit, including prayer requests and updates, praise reports, testimonies, group participation, event activity, reactions, and other community contributions.
Prayer requests and sensitive information
Prayer requests and testimonies can contain deeply personal information. Please share only information you are comfortable providing. Visibility options may include ministry-team-only, community, or anonymous community presentation depending on the feature. Anonymous presentation means your identity is hidden from the community display; authorized administrators or ministry team members may still need access to the underlying submission for moderation, safety, or ministry support.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure Rare Network, authenticate members, provide prayer and ministry features, personalize member experiences, manage groups and events, deliver requested email or push notifications, moderate community content, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain audit and security records, and improve the service.
Authentication
Rare Network may allow sign-in using email and password or third-party identity providers such as Google or Apple. When you use a third-party provider, that provider authenticates you and shares permitted account information with our authentication service. Rare Network does not receive your Google or Apple password.
Service providers
We use trusted technology providers to host, secure, authenticate, deliver, and operate Rare Network. These may include Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for application hosting and delivery, and communications or anti-abuse providers used by the application. Those providers process information as necessary to provide their services and are governed by their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Communications
Depending on your settings and participation, Rare Network may send account, security, prayer, community, event, ministry, email, or push notifications. You can manage available communication preferences in your account, although essential security and account messages may still be sent.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with authorized Rare Network administrators or ministry team members when necessary to operate the service or provide the ministry feature you requested. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms.
Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect member information, including access controls, role-based permissions, encrypted connections, authentication protections, and security monitoring. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and account requests
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Rare Network, fulfill ministry and administrative purposes, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security records. You may contact Rare Network to request help with your account or questions about your information. Some records may need to be retained where required for security, legal, or legitimate operational purposes.
Children
Rare Network is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization should contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Rare Network develops. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app or other notice.
